นับตั้งแต่เริ่มดาเนินการมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน บริษัท กสท โทรคมนาคม จากัด (มหาชน) ตระหนักดีว่าการดาเนินการ ด้านความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคม หรือ CSR มีความสาคัญ ต่อองค์กรอย่างย่ิง จึงพยายามปลูกฝังและส่งเสริมให้มีอยู่ใน ทุกกระบวนการทางานของบริษัท ไม่ว่าจะดาเนินกิจกรรมใด ทุกหน่วยงานจะต้องคานึงถึงผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียทุกภาคส่วน เปน็ สา คญั นอกจากนตี้ ลอดระยะเวลาทผ่ี า่ นมา บรษิ ทั ยงั นอ้ มนา พระบรมราโชวาทและพระราชดารัสของพระบาทสมเด็จ พระปรมินทรมหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดช มาเป็นแนวทางในการ ดาเนินงานด้านความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคมอยู่เสมอ
ดงั เชน่ พระบรมราโชวาทในพธิ พี ระราชทานปรญิ ญาบตั ร แกน่ สิ ติ จฬุ าลงกรณม์ หาวทิ ยาลยั เมอื่ วนั ท่ี10กรกฎาคม2523 ตอนหนง่ึ ทวี่ า่ “การจะพฒั นาทกุ สง่ิ ทกุ อยา่ งใหเ้ จรญิ นนั้ จะตอ้ ง สร้างและเสริมขึ้นจากพื้นฐานเดิมท่ีมีอยู่ก่อนทั้งสิ้น ถ้าพื้นฐาน ไม่ดีหรือคลอนแคลนบกพร่องแล้ว ที่จะเพิ่มเติมเสริมต่อให้ เจรญิ ขนึ้ ไปอกี นนั้ ยากนกั ทจี่ ะทา ได้ จงึ ควรจะเขา้ ใจใหแ้ จง้ ชดั วา่ นอกจากจะมุ่งสร้างความเจริญแล้ว ยังต้องพยายามรักษา พื้นฐานให้มั่นคง ไม่บกพร่องพร้อมๆ กันไปด้วย” บมจ. กสท โทรคมนาคม จึงไม่เพียงมุ่งมั่นที่จะพัฒนาด้านการส่ือสารและ โทรคมนาคมของประเทศให้รุดหน้า แต่ยังมุ่งเน้นท่ีจะสร้าง ความแข็งแกร่งให้กับรากฐานของสังคมและประเทศอันได้แก่ ประชาชนและเยาวชนในทุกพ้ืนท่ีมาโดยตลอด
และดว้ ยความสา นกึ ในพระมหากรณุ าธคิ ณุ อยา่ งหาทสี่ ดุ มิได้ บมจ. กสท โทรคมนาคม จึงมุ่งม่ันท่ีจะสานต่อพระราช ปณธิ านของพระบาทสมเดจ็ พระปรมนิ ทรมหาภมู พิ ลอดลุ ยเดช โดยในปี 2560 นี้ ได้วางแผนท่ีจะดาเนินการด้านความ รับผิดชอบต่อสังคม ด้วยการนาเอาความรู้ ความสามารถ และ ความเชี่ยวชาญด้านเทคโนโลยีของบริษัทมาเป็นเคร่ืองมือใน การถ่ายทอดและส่งต่อองค์ความรู้ต่างๆ อันเน่ืองมาจาก พระราชดาริ โดยเฉพาะด้านเศรษฐกจิ พอเพยี ง ไปสปู่ ระชาชน ชมุ ชน และสงั คม อยา่ งถกู ตอ้ งและทั่วถึง เพ่ือร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่ง ในการเสริมสร้างรากฐานที่ม่ันคงให้กับประเทศชาติต่อไป

Since its inception, CAT Telecommunication PCL fully realizes the importance of CSR in the organization. CAT has therefore encouraged and promoted CSR in its activities and every working process taking stakeholders into consideration.
CAT has also applied His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s royal speech and initiatives as guidelines for its CSR operations such as part of the royal speech given at the graducation ceremony at Chulalongkorn University on July 10, 1980, as follows “In order to encourage growth and development of everything and for them to prosper, it must be built and promote from the existing foundation. If the foundation is insecure and unstable it will be dif cult to make any advancement. Therefore we must have a clear understanding that adding to create prosperity we must maintain a strong foundation at the same time.” CAT has therefore placed special emphasis on building strength for the society and the nation for the people and youth in all areas of Thailand by providing education related to IT. CAT has worked to ensure that these people receive proper and suitable knowledge which will in turn strengthen the nation and drive it forward into the future. In recognition of His Majesty the late King’s immense kindness to his subjects, CAT is committed to carry on the late King’s initiatives. In 2017 CAT plans to expand its CSR activities by utilizing the organization’s knowledge, competency and expertise in the area of technology as a tool to pass on the necessary and accurate knowledge especially in suf ciency economy to the people, community and society. This will help build strong and stable foundation for the country in the future.
